Poverty In My Eyes.

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Poverty is a lack of possession. I think that we have some poverty in Montrose, but it is different here than it is in other places. Here in Montrose people will definitely help the people in poverty. In other places, like Africa, they don’t have any one to help them, and I think that all of Montrose is grateful to know that there is a town filled with people who will help them when they are in need. That is what poverty is in my eyes!

Poverty through my eyes.

I did not really know what poverty was until today when we had to write this blog. Now I know all about it. I think poverty in Montrose is rare because people in Montrose are very kind. I think that people that can not buy their food or clothes rely on their neighbors for a little extra stuff. I think people around the world that live in big towns that have poverty can’t rely on others to help them. Thank you for all the help you have done to others in need.

Poverty Through My Eyes.

Poverty is just not having as much as others, to me. In Montrose it is a lot easier to handle poverty than in a big town like Sioux Falls. In Montrose someone will always help you. Africans in poverty don’t even have food and shelter some of the times, here it’s usually just getting through the month with payments and bills. As I look at Montrose, I don’t see a big problem with poverty. I like that.

Poverty is something quite a few people suffer, but there are some people willing to help.
Some of these people are living in the town of Montrose. Lucky for us, Montrose does not have people as poor as other countries do. We have very nice things here in Montrose. We may be a small town ,but we have a good school, nice stores, and many wonderful people. There are people that do suffer, but they are not living in the streets like kids in Africa may be.The Montrose citizens usually help each other out when they are in need! Poverty is a word that saddens me!! Let’s not let this happen in our town.
