Poverty through my eyes!
When I think of poverty it makes me think of the children of Africa. But unlike us we have a store and a great community to help us out when you need it most. When you are falling to the ground and do not have enough money to serve you or you family is when poverty starts to open up. In Africa the people have to have school outside on the ground. We don’t go through things like that but even though that the things the African people go through might happen to some of us but threre will always be someone to help us out!!! I don’t ever want this to happen in Montrose. Keep working hard!!
Thanks for all your time to read my blog!

Taylor,
It’s our pleasure to read your blog. Thanks for taking time to write your ideas on poverty. It means a lot to have you weigh in on this important issue.
I’ve been to Africa, where children have to sit four to a desk, and don’t have enough paper and pencils! You’re right, we don’t have poverty like that in Montrose. But, there are people who have real needs here–we just don’t always see it. Always be aware of those things we can do in our community to make life better for everyone–the very young to the very old. We’ll keep working hard, and we appreciate your thoughts and care.
Take care, and thanks again,
Connie Smith

Hi Taylor, you wrote a great blog. I too feel very sorry for the children in Africa and other parts of the world that live in poverty. I am glad there are so many people in Montrose that are so helpful. We will continue to help those in need, when we are aware they need our help. Thanks for writing and I look forward to meeting you someday. Keep up the good work.
