Each month, Horizons communities are to answer a set of questions on their blog site. We’d love your help in determining where we are in addressing poverty, and moving our community forward. Please choose one or two questions in EACH category and give us your input! You don’t have to write a lot, but look over the questions and see where you can add your two cents worth.
Sustaining action and creating structural change around poverty

Community involvement has changed which is a big step in meeting our goal to eliminate poverty. I have seen such great involvement with people I don’t see on a day to day basis or that I wouldn’t normally socialize with.
By being involved with many different people you begin to understand them and if they may have a need or who their leader within really is. Then if you see that you can encourage them or ask them for assistance with your project.
With the involvement of Mrs. Jandl and her class we have learned that we have some great leaders in our school system!!
