Montrose On The Move
I was fortunate to have attended Seminar #1 on Regional Collaborations & Community Foundations. Our Guest were members of Horizon 1, they represented Timber Lake & Isabel and gave a presentation on the success & challenges of collaborating between communities. They provided many exciting ideas on how to get communities motivated and how to open up new avenues of employment. I also was impressed with Mr. Noel Hamiel of The South Dakota Community Foundation and how a Community Savings Account can generate funds that are reinvested back into the Community. I was also very much impressed with the many people from small towns like ours and the give and take of Ideas. I am fired up to get things going. GO MONTROSE.

Tony: I enjoyed the evening as well. It was great to see FIVE people from Montrose in attendance. We had to be 10% of the crowd. I know when the event was over the discussion was lively, which is always great. I am so excited about our future. I can see great things happening in Montrose!

I was able to attend also. It was truly motivational and inspired me to write my own business plan. I think this seminar will be instrumental in helping business thrive in small communities.
